When to come along

Meads WI meetings are held on the 4thTuesday of each month at 2.15pm.  A speaker is scheduled to give a talk on their chosen subject.  Some items of business will be discussed also our groups will give updates on their work in hand. Refreshments are available following the talk.

What we do

At our monthly meetings members have enjoyed quizzes, games, raffle and interesting speakers.  The activities are Craft, Scrabble, Social (lunches/tea at a local landmark). Monday Get-Together is a group that meets for coffee in different coffee houses, sometimes a walk or visiting local places of interest giving time to chat with other friends of the WI.  Past visits have been to the London Postal Museum and the Wealden Museum at Singleton, West Sussex.

Last November we celebrated our 33rdBirthday of the WI with afternoon tea, a speaker and stalls.  We support a local charity of our choosing with the proceeds from an event that was successful.  Each month there is a raffle and often a stall of pre-loved items for sale, books, craft, available to purchase.

What sort of WI are we

Meads WI was founded in 1989 and has continued to flourish.  It is associated with Meads Village environment and we are keen to involve members in supporting our planned events.  We are a friendly group, we take on board members suggestions to progress the experience of the WI at Meads.
